Workshop: How to Harness AI

Miguel D’Souza, a seasoned journalist and Google News Initiative trainer, boasts over two decades in online newsrooms. From 2020-2022, he was Google's News Teaching Fellow, training 4,000 journalists and developing an Asia-wide verification challenge. He spent 11 years at AAP, leading multimedia innovation and establishing their fact-checking department. His experience also includes SBS, News Corp, and Seven Network. Currently, as a subject matter expert on verification for the Digital News Academy, he trains reporters on using Google tools for investigations and verification.
