In 2026, WIM Qld is once again partnering with Working Wiser to boost the careers of women in the media industry through our unique professional support program.

We are offering group coaching sessions focused on strategies to deal with everyday challenges at work and to re-ignite tired careers to build career confidence. These personalised sessions will help women improve their promotion and leadership prospects.

Highly respected television executive and coach Cathie Schnitzerling will present four Working Wiser small group workshops of 75 minutes each.

You are invited to nominate 2 workshops that interest you from the following list:

  • Getting started - goal setting and imposter syndrome

  • Moving on up - moving into management and managing multiple priorities

  • Keeping the peace - resolving conflict and managing criticism/feedback

  • Building strengths - team building and learning to network

The Career Boost workshops are open to Queensland women working in all aspects of media; public relations, government, journalism, social media, graphics, media production and technology – at any stage of their career.

Applications are now open

Simply share your story and why these workshops would benefit you.

Applications close Friday 7 August 2026.

Who can apply?

Applicants don’t need to have attended a Women in Media event previously to apply, however, you must currently be living and working in Queensland and wish to study in 2026-27.

All we ask is that you share that knowledge with as many other women in media as possible!
