Our popular conference is back

Women in Media is excited to announce it will be holding its fourth national conference on the Gold Coast at Bond University on September 10 and 11.

We were deeply saddened to cancel last year’s conference due to the pandemic. Our WiM supporters have told us they are seeking more connection than ever before.

So … it’s back for 2021!

We’ll have a variety of fabulous panels and speakers, as well as extraordinary workshops designed to educate, empower and elevate our WIMers.

At the 2021 conference we will reflect on the year that was, examine the changing media landscape as well as the importance of goal setting, transferable skills, overcoming career challenges, WFH hybrids, reconnecting and collaborating.

Workshops will range from managing career pathways and the art of negotiation to mobile video journalism and mastering great photography.

This year, more than ever, we feel the need to provide a safe place for WIMers to connect with each other as well as being inspired and reenergised.

So we have been cautious in our approach and have developed a conference under a strict COVID plan, which will ensure WIMers can reconnect in a safe way.

This year’s conference will be limited numbers due to the pandemic so we expect to sell out quickly.

We would recommend choosing an airline and accommodation which recognises COVID refunds or credits in case your state or territory borders are locked down.

Tickets will go on sale in a couple of weeks – we can’t wait to see you on the fabulous Goldie for a fun couple of days!
