The Opportunity
With the generous support from the Rural Women’s Network, Women in Media will support 10 women from regional, rural and remote NSW to attend the 2025 National Conference – an opportunity to open doors, amplify regional voices, and create space for meaningful connection and growth.
Women living and working outside metro and urban areas are equally - if not more - deserving of support and it is critical they too can access this industry event. With funding from the Rural Women’s Network, we’re able to cover travel, accommodation, and Conference ticket costs for successful applicants across the state.
The value of this opportunity speaks for itself. Past recipients describe the Conference as a meaningful experience to gain knowledge, build connections, and share fresh insights with their communities.
“Such an incredible conference to attend. Connecting with empowering women representing diverse voices of women in our industry has been very inspiring.”
Leonie Kelly, First Nations Film Director and Producer with Farm Gate Productions
“These opportunities to connect and grow are invaluable, and I thank Women NSW and Women in Media Australia for making it possible for rural women like me to participate and bring these learnings back to our communities, industries, and peers.”
Skye Ward, CourtyardPR, Bungendore
