Women in Media Australia is growing, and we are looking for a dynamic individual to assist us in achieving our mission, to help women in media excel.
We have 6500 members and are broadening our membership to include women in journalism, communications, production, public relations, advertising, marketing, publishing and digital media. Our initiatives aim to increase gender equality, extend leadership and economic participation opportunities for women, and build a safer, more respectful culture in Australian media workplaces.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring strong financial governance. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a finance professional who is equally comfortable managing day-to-day accounting tasks as they are providing strategic insights to guide the organisation’s future.
The CFO will work closely with the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee and Board to ensure Women in Media remains financially sustainable, compliant, and well-positioned to grow its programs and national footprint.
This role will also be the nominated Company Secretary duties, supporting the Board and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements relevant to a not-for-profit company in Australia.
