Women in Media Australia is growing, and we are looking for dynamic individuals to assist us to achieve our mission, to help women in media excel.
We have 6000 members and are broadening our membership to include women in journalism, communications, production, public relations, advertising, marketing, publishing and digital media. Our initiatives aim to increase gender equality, extend leadership and economic participation opportunities for women, and build a safer, more respectful culture in Australian media workplaces.

General Manager
At this important juncture as we move to represent women in all facets of media, we are looking to appoint our first General Manager to lead and manage the organisation in this next phase. This is a perfect role for a dynamic, commercial, efficient, results-oriented, purpose-led individual ready to lead a small organisation, reporting directly to the Chairs of the Board.

National Conference Curator
We are seeking a creative and dynamic person who thrives on collaboration. As a valued member of
the Women in Media team, you will take ownership of the event in a curatorial capacity.

Admin/Operations Coordinator
The Operations Coordinator will ensure that administrative tasks are
completed and that the organisation functions efficiently. You’ll report to the General Manager and
work closely with the voluntary board of directors and committee members of this not-for-profit
purpose driven organisation.

Chair / Non-Executive Director
The Board is seeking to appoint a Director and Chair who has a commitment to the purpose of the
organisation and has leadership and business acumen, director qualifications and experience. The
Chair will use their profile and voice to advocate for, and create awareness of, Women in Media and
its initiatives.
